Chief Executive Search Committee Invites Nominations
In the February 2021 Board Meeting Update released to the Principia community, the Board of Trustees announced the March launch of the search for a permanent Chief Executive. A search committee has now been selected, and we would like to share details about the search process and invite community-wide participation.
The Board has appointed a Chief Executive Search Committee that consists of nine members: six Trustees and one member each representing the College, School, and Shared Services. These representatives were nominated by the leadership from each area.
The members of the search committee are Mindy Savides (chair, Trustee), Charles Lindahl (Trustee), Scott Schneberger (Trustee), Bob Macdonald (Trustee), Steve Shaper (Trustee), Trish Sarkisian (Trustee), Brian Roberts (College faculty), Melanie Shedd (School faculty), Susie Quitter (Shared Services employee).
The search committee held its first meeting on March 12.
The professional search firm Fund Raising Counsel, Inc. has been retained to assist with overall search-process management and to ensure compliance with best practices.
The Board invites all members of the Principia community—students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and friends—to actively participate in the search process.
If you would like to submit nominations, provide input, and stay informed on the progress of the search during the coming months, we encourage you to visit the CE Search webpage.

Everyone is invited to nominate candidates for this important position. Please click here to submit one or more names for consideration. It will be helpful to the search committee if your nomination submission includes your thoughts on the individual’s qualifications and strengths for being an effective Chief Executive for Principia. The search firm will promptly reach out to anyone nominated to find out if they are interested in applying.
Review of applications will begin April 15, 2021, and the position will remain open until filled.
Anyone who would like to apply directly can do so through the CE Search webpage as well. Application instructions can be found within the Institutional Profile. You will soon see advertisements announcing the availability of the position.
As was the practice during previous high-level searches, finalists will meet with the search committee and other Principia stakeholder individuals and groups. In addition, we’re planning to schedule open forums for all Principia community members to meet the finalists, followed by an opportunity to submit input after each forum. All of these opportunities to meet the finalists will take place virtually.
Finally, in addition to your active participation, we invite you to join us in praying to support this important process for Principia.
