Principia in U.S. News & World Report's 2020 Rankings
One of the factors influencing prospective students’ search for colleges is national rankings, and U.S. News & World Report is one of the best-known sources for a variety of rankings.
Once again, Principia College shows up high on the list of quality colleges in several of the magazine’s latest lists. Most notably, Principia is #6 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 list of Best Value schools—a distinction reserved for national liberal arts colleges that provide the highest quality education for the lowest price. That puts the College in the company of Williams, Pomona, Amherst, and Swarthmore Colleges.
In addition, the magazine ranks Principia among the top schools that emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.
Finally, Principia earned the #11 spot in U.S. News & World Report’s Most International category among all national liberal arts colleges.
