Young Artists’ Showcase Features Four Upper Schoolers
The artwork of four Principia Upper School students is part of the 2022 Young Artists’ Showcase: All-Media Exhibition at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild. Seniors Rex Heath and Lizzie McKim, along with sophomore Jaheim Magaki and first-year Lauren Scott submitted images of their best art pieces for the annual competition.
The Young Artists’ Showcase is a juried, all-media exhibition of artwork created by high school students between 15 and 19 years old residing within 150 miles of the St. Louis Artists’ Guild in Clayton, Missouri. The four students’ work was selected from 280 submissions. The Showcase exhibition exposes students to award and scholarships opportunities, as well as encourages sales for students interested in selling their work. The exhibition runs March 5–26, 2022, and the St. Louis Art Guild gallery—which is located at 12 North Jackson Ave., Clayton, Missouri—is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
