Update on Chief Executive Search
As announced in July, Principia’s Board of Trustees is searching for a new Chief Executive.
We received more than 60 candidate nominations, and the Chief Executive Search Committee (made up of current and former Trustees) has reviewed applications and conducted initial screening interviews with all who applied for the position. Of these, a select group of applicants were interviewed in person, and five candidates have been invited for individual visits to our campuses before mid-November.
Each candidate is participating in two full days of meetings (one day on each campus), interviewing with faculty, staff, students, administrators, parents’ association representatives, and the Advisory Committee (made up of faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and alumni). In addition, each candidate is participating in open meetings intended to provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the applicant.
Those attending the open meetings are encouraged to complete an anonymous survey within 24 hours of interacting with each candidate. Input on how well the candidate matches the profile we seek in a new Chief Executive, based on impressions and conversations in the open meetings, will help inform the deliberations of the Search Committee.
