Student Wins Scouting Award
July 5, 2012
Soon after completing her freshman year at the College, Karina Olsen, from Wilton, Connecticut, was honored at a ceremony for young women who had earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the top award available from the Girl Scouts. One of the requirements for the Gold Award is that recipients put their creativity, leadership, and commitment into action on behalf of their community. Karina did so by creating a community garden that helps feed those in need.
