Visit Southeast Asia with Principia
Explore the ancient civilizations of Southeast Asia with Principia Lifelong Learning. John Williams, political science professor and co-director of Principia’s Asian Studies Program, will provide the background information needed to make each stop a memorable experience.
The luxurious MS AmaLotus will set sail from Saigon on December 8, 2013, traveling along the Mekong and Tonle Rivers through Vietnam and Cambodia. The seven-night cruise includes exceptional sightseeing at a variety of stops, including temples, museums, a Buddhist monastery, and Cambodia’s Royal Palace, to name only a few. Afterward, enjoy three nights in a five-star hotel in Siem Reap, where you’ll have plenty of time to visit the vast Angkor temple complex as well as other sites.
The full trip runs December 8–19, 2013, but a Hanoi add-on is available December 4–8 for those interested in seeing more of Vietnam. Professor Williams will accompany that trip as well, providing a wealth of historical and cultural information to enhance visits to the Old Quarter, “Hanoi Hilton” (the prison where Senator John McCain was held), and Temple of Literature.
This trip to Southeast Asia offers an ideal blend of sightseeing, education, and entertainment, perfect for first-time as well as return visitors. Reserve one of the handful of remaining cabins now!
